Here’s news footage from the 1980’s on several stories with a construction theme. Firstly a portable building is transported smoothly across the Mildura Bridge on the back of truck. Notice the skill of the driver who, with no guidance, clears the bridge supports with ease. Then we see a large sculpture being placed in Deakin Ave outside the North Haven Motel. It looks like Arts Center Director Tom McCullough might be overseeing this project. Lastly, the beginnings of the reconstruction of the old Mildura Homestead, with brick walls going up. In the final shots we see the old PV Wanera make her way past below the Homestead site
