Over the past couple of days some wonderful photos have been shared on Lost Mildura and Sunraysia featuring the Floral Festivals that were conducted in Mildura over many years. This short piece of STV 8 news footage is from around 1970, where we see carpets being constructed in Deakin Ave opposite the Carnegie Library. We’re unsure if this display was being made for an event connected with the past festivals but it’s interesting seeing how the carpets were put together.
